EPOCH11

Privacy

Effective October 29, 2026 · For epoch11.app, the map at map.epoch11.app and the Android app

In short. We count which wells get opened, so we know what is useful. We never record who opened them. No accounts, no ads, no cookies, no tracking.

What we count

When you open a well or mineral resource, we count which one it was, its data source and the country the request came from. We don't record your internet address, browser or device.

Error reports and map tags

If you report an error or tag a spot on the map, we keep what you sent: the well or spot, your reasons and note, and the app version. We also keep a scrambled one-way code of your internet address, used only to stop spam. Each report is emailed to us so we can check it against the regulator.

Messages to us

The contact form sends your email address and message to us. We keep them in our own database at Cloudflare, with the same scrambled code of your internet address used to stop spam, and use them only to reply. Ask and we'll delete them.

Your location

The Locate button uses your location on your device to move the map. It is never sent to us.

Map services

Cloudflare hosts the website and data. Map pictures come from EOX, the United States Geological Survey and OpenFreeMap (and Esri, Carto and Macrostrat in the Android app). Like any website, they see your internet address when they send a picture.
