What Epoch 11 is
A free map of public oil and gas wells, water wells and mineral resources, gathered from government regulators and geological surveys, for research, education and general information.
Using the data
You're welcome to use it under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Please also follow each source's own licence and credit, listed on the licensing page.
Check with the regulator
The map is refreshed monthly from each regulator's own data, and the regulator's record, linked from every well, is the final word. Don't rely on the map to find wells, pipes or anything else underground before you dig: call 811 in the United States, or your local service elsewhere. It is not proof of a well's status, ownership or mineral rights.
Fair use
Please don't copy the map's files in bulk with automated tools or overload the service. Want the data in bulk? Ask us.
Reports and tags
Thanks for helping fix the data. Please leave other people's personal information out of what you send.
The fine print
Epoch 11 is provided as is, without warranties, and as far as the law allows we aren't liable for losses from using it. These terms are governed by Colorado law. We may update them; the date above shows the latest version.
